Summer Adventures

Recently was the Summer Solstice....the longest day of the year....the beginning of Summer
and yet our Summer adventures are well underway.
We made a Summer Fun list
(because lets face it, if you don't plan to do the things you want to do Summer slips away)
and already we've checked off
  • A walking trail and waterfall along with our favorite pizza place
  • Saturday morning Farmers Market (where we stumbled upon the Flag Day Festival)
  • JJ's Drive Inn (the best ice cream in town)
  • Outdoor pool with friends
  • Buffalo Days parade
  • Strawberry picking

(Notice the red strawberry juice on his chin.  He ate way more than he picked)

(Oh and lets not forget our backyard fun and all the time at the park)
May we have a long, hot Summer and be thankful for every minute of it!

Spring Weekend Getaway

We planned our Spring getaway when there was snow on the ground
hoping for nice weather and what we got was Summer weather.
We are talking 75-85 degree highs last weekend.

Tristan enjoyed his first baseball game at Target field.

Then we stopped at Luke's favorite place- The Rusty Taco.

Luke is proud that Tristan shares his love of tacos.

After that we spent the evening swimming at the hotel.

And there is nothing like
waking up with two little feet pushing into the small of your back.

Then we had breakfast at the famous Mickey's Diner before heading to the children's museum.

After a fun day of play we headed home.
Tristan was nice
enough to share his glasses with his puppy.

Ahh... there's nothing like going home with a little sun on your face.

Earth Day

The fate of our earth is in the hands of the young people.
So why not start talking about taking care of mother earth now.

We did an art project...played with play-do...watched the recycling episode of
bubble guppies...had a picnic(in the closet)...played at the park...
and went for a treasure hunt.

These pics are too lovely not to share.  Happy Earth Day!

Circus Extravaganza

This year Tristan and I went with my mom to the circus.
I'm not sure who had more fun... Tristan or Grandma...

He loved the camels, elephants, and pony's during the intermission.
And was most impressed by the tigers and motorcycle cage act.

Family Day 2015

Its been another year with our little man officially a part of our family.
Its a day that we play hooky and just be together.
We had the perfect weather so we chose to go to the zoo this year.

Then we went to the mall and did a little playing and shopping.

Then to build-a-bear workshop wear Tristan picked out (adopted) a puppy to love.
We put in 3 hearts (one for mommy, daddy, and Tristan) and made a wish.

I know its bad luck to say what you wished for but I've
never been very superstitious...I wished for more days like this and
for our family to grow soon.
