Our favorite Beach!

Instead of being crabby about it being hot and humid 

we decided to 

'beat the heat'

and go to our favorite 

outdoor eating place...

The Taco House has been one of our favorite pastimes

and we couldn't let summer pass us by without a trip here.

And of coarse we had to stop by our favorite beach 

to watch the boats

and dip our toes in the water.

he lifted his little foot as the wave washed up to him (so sweet)

We are loving these little day trips and laugh with each other

as we drive out of town listening to a little voice in the back seat saying, 

"ba ba" (bye bye) and waving out the back window.

Exploring the backyard

I just love watching him explore everything around him.

The flowers in the backyard are in bloom and the morning 

was cool so I thought it was a great time to get outside and 

take in our surroundings.  

Unfortunately, when we are usually outside it's because Luke and I are

working in the garden and so Tristan is in the pack n play

or the exersaucer.  

But not today...

She love me, she loves me not...

She loves me!  

Waving bye-bye and hello now is just 

too CuTe!

Thank you God for
This child of mine
Who teaches me things
That blow my mind.
He entertains himself
In the funniest ways.
I pray that the innocence
He possess never goes away.

Ice Cream Capital of the World

Luke finished his summer semester so we celebrated by taking a

road trip to the ice cream capital of the world!

Just a little over an hour drive and we were here...

where we discovered the blue bunny ice cream parlor.

It was a trip back in time.  

The ice cream parlor was on the bottom floor of this old 

downtown building and a marble double stair case led to the 

upstairs museum.

Then we found this walking trail with a pond.  

Tristan loved the geese and the ducks!

It was a fun day of adventure.
