Christmas 2015 and a Happy New Year

Merry Christmas!  And what a merry time it was.
Tristan was very involved in the Christmas preparations this year.
We did some baking...

and decorating...

and reading...

and celebrating...

My heart over flows with joy this time of year.

Then what a beautiful sunny New Years Day.  (Not to mention, Tristan's first time sledding)

It's that time of the year.  Time to look back and reflect on the past year and to look ahead to what the next year can bring.  May it bring us closer to God, closer to family, health and wellness, and added joy.  We pray everyday that the Lord knows our hearts and knows what our family needs better than we do.  We pray that 2016 will bring us a sibling for Tristan.  Our hearts and our arms are open wide in anticipation to welcome a baby.

Oh, and lets not forget... we move into our new house next weekend.

So thankful!

I love Thanksgiving.
And there is a lot to be thankful for... not just the everyday things,
but in the big things too.

Grace, Family, Friends, Love, Home...

We are thankful to have found a new home that will be perfect for our family
and to have sold our starter home after only one showing.

Give thanks and praise in all things.

Boo or Boo not, there is no try!

What a fun Halloween this year dressed as the littlest jedi master..
Yoda.

and I didn't miss out on the fun either!

(the force is strong in this one)

and here are photos of our other festival fall excursions...

We were all safe with Batman on the "superhero" hike.

This little boy makes his daddy proud.
Happy Halloween!

Three! Seriously, can it be?

Can it seriously have been 3 years ago already since
this little baby boy came into our lives?
How time flies...
He has grown into such a smart, sweet, and FUNNY young man!
He is such a special little boy to us and such a blessing to our family.

He has been telling everybody for weeks now that he is going to be 4 on his birthday.  And for weeks I pleaded with him to please not be 4 and just be 3 this year.  To which he would put his head back and laugh at me in defiance.  This morning however he had come to an awakening and fully committed to being 3.

This year we had a construction theme birthday party.
I went a little over board with not one, but two homemade cakes and cookies.
His menu consisted of a build-your-own burger bar, drill bit salad,
construction cones (doritos), and wrecking balls (grapes).
And as you can see by these photos our guests took the construction
theme quite seriously and he doubled his amount of toys in one day!

Spoiled?  maybe.  Loved?  YES!
