MOA

We celebrated a couple of monumental events in our house lately...

Tristan is now a 1 1/2 year old.
And (drum roll please) Daddy finished grad school meaning we
have more family goof off time.  Woo Woo!

So, how do you celebrate such events you ask?

A trip to the MOA for no reason at all.

I'm so proud of my boys!!

Holy Week

We celebrated the joy of Easter on multiple occasions with
multiple loved ones this year.

I had to work the holiday but that doesn't stop us from
soaking up every morsel of
enjoying family
and thanking and praising God for all He has done for us.

We started a new tradition of resurrection eggs.
Each egg represents a different piece of the story.
As Tristan grows I look forward to seeing how his knowledge and love of Christ grows.

this I know
for the Bible tells me so-

Family Day 2014

We started this tradition of Family Day to celebrate the day
Tristan "officially" joined our family.

Some day Tristan will get to pick the fun activity we do on this day but
for now we picked for him.

So, Luke picked him up from daycare a little early.   I woke up from my night shift and
we hopped in the car went to McDonalds play area.
Granted...this is not super fancy but for a 1 year old it's super exciting.

We ended the day like we usually do with bath and jammies and snuggles.

And we remembered the thing that's most important to us...
Family!

It's Official

Well,  it's official!  We are back on the list.
We decided to give this parenting thing another go.
Now we wait.

One thing is for sure...
Tristan is going to be an awesome big brother.

Don't be fooled...he is still our rough and tumble boy.
But he also has a gentle, nurturing side
and we know that whether its a brother or sister that comes our way-
he will be a good care taker.

Sick Day

Yesterday Tristan was sick with fevers waxing and waning up to 104 degrees.
The little guy had no energy and we spent the day snuggling and watching t.v.

As you can see my little boy was not his usual busy self.
I get so sad when my baby is sick and I as a parent you would do
anything to take it away.

Today he is feeling better.  No more fevers.  Thank you Lord.

Sometimes it takes a sick day to appreciate the fact that you have a healthy, strong child.  One that's able to fight off bugs, or a virus, or whatever ailment snuck up on him yesterday.

Too sweet not to share

I thought it was time to update the blog...

For no reason other than I took some cute new pics of T
just playing around the house that I just had to share.

We are practicing our coloring skills.  Right now they mostly end up
in his mouth but he really enjoys watching mommy color.

Welcome back Spring.

We had a fun filled week.
It started off with St. Patty's Day.
So we sported our green.

Then yesterday we celebrated the last day of winter
with a 'Frozen" cookie decorating party with our buds after school.

And today was the perfect 57 degree day to welcome the first day of Spring.
We walked to the park and then played in the driveway.

Welcome back Spring.  Oh how we missed your green grasses and warm sunshine.
