"Tristan-isms"
Tristan- you say the darndest things. And so I have to write them down.
I love how you say...
"Woowie" instead of Louie,
"Tomato slide" instead of tornado slide (in his defense the slide is red)
"Hmm that's turkey" instead of that's tricky,
"Turn the whites off" instead of lights off
You count to 20 but you usually skip 15,
You say your alphabet but you switch around "kj"
Your Tristanisms are so funny and all your own.

Mommy and Tristan day!
At bedtime we like to talk about our day and also talk about what things we will do and see the next day. And days I don't work have become mommy and Tristan days. Days I don't have to clean or shop or run errands. Days we can just goof off.
Today was a mommy and Tristan day...

Fathers Day Beach Day
We spent Father's Day 2015 enjoying
sun, beach, and family!
8 years ago we laid on this same beach on the day after our wedding
talking about the blueprint for our family.
and now...
God led us to this beautiful life that
we in no way could have planned ourselves.
So thankful for my husband that is a great dad
and for the crazy little boy
that made him one.
Happy Fathers Day and Happy Anniversary!
Summer Adventures
Recently was the Summer Solstice....the longest day of the year....the beginning of Summer
and yet our Summer adventures are well underway.
and yet our Summer adventures are well underway.
We made a Summer Fun list
(because lets face it, if you don't plan to do the things you want to do Summer slips away)
and already we've checked off
(because lets face it, if you don't plan to do the things you want to do Summer slips away)
and already we've checked off
- A walking trail and waterfall along with our favorite pizza place
- Saturday morning Farmers Market (where we stumbled upon the Flag Day Festival)
- JJ's Drive Inn (the best ice cream in town)
- Outdoor pool with friends
- Buffalo Days parade
- Strawberry picking
(Notice the red strawberry juice on his chin. He ate way more than he picked)
(Oh and lets not forget our backyard fun and all the time at the park)
May we have a long, hot Summer and be thankful for every minute of it!

Spring Weekend Getaway
We planned our Spring getaway when there was snow on the ground
hoping for nice weather and what we got was Summer weather.
We are talking 75-85 degree highs last weekend.
Then we stopped at Luke's favorite place- The Rusty Taco.
Luke is proud that Tristan shares his love of tacos.
After that we spent the evening swimming at the hotel.
And there is nothing like
waking up with two little feet pushing into the small of your back.
Then we had breakfast at the famous Mickey's Diner before heading to the children's museum.
After a fun day of play we headed home.
Tristan was nice
enough to share his glasses with his puppy.
Ahh... there's nothing like going home with a little sun on your face.
