Mommy Photography Strikes Again!

When you have a baby as cute as this its hard not to set up a home 

photo shoot whenever the mood strikes.

At every stage I find my self saying, "this is my favorite age...

no this is my favorite age."  

We are enjoying every milestone with you Tristan but I am not going to be sad about

you getting older and not doing "baby things" anymore because I know now that as

you grow I will always say..

"This is my favorite!"

A Toothy Grin

Teething Time

My little teeth are coming through I don't know what to do
My Mum gave me a teething ring to sit all day and chew .
Dad said ,
"You've got to get your teeth before you eat your meat"
I watch him crunching crispy bacon as I nibble on my feet .
If only I had teeth like Dad I'd crunch my teething ring,
but all I have are red raw gums and oh my how they sting .

Tristan, you have been such a trooper through your teething.

Your favorite remedy right now is a cold wash cloth to suck on.   

Through it all, you are still such a good natured baby.

You got your first two bottom teeth a couple of weeks ago

 and now your two top teeth are trying to make their debut.  

Oh, how I love your new toothy grin!

Best Mother's Day!

I had to work my first Mother's Day and I was sort of feeling sorry for myself until I helped another mother bring her daughter into this world. Then, Luke and Tristan come to see me at work and made my day! Being a mother is the greatest gift!

May Day

Woke up to this out our window today...

(some kind of May Day, huh?)

-Mother Nature is truly playing tricks on us this Spring.

Anyway...

Remember 3 months ago I posted "changing right before my eyes" and ended 

that post by saying- Can't wait to see what the next three months will bring.  

Well, this is what they brought...

Tristan had his well baby check earlier this week and his stats were:

Wt  15 lb 10 oz

Ht  26 in (2 ft 2 in)

He remains consistently at the 15th percentile 

and is hitting all his milestones.  

He is growing by leaps and bounds!

A Perfect Day!!

Yesterday was the definition of a perfect day!

 It reached a high temperature of 75 degrees 

(and let me remind you that early this week we had snow, rain and hail)

so we grabbed a couple of jimmy johns and headed

 to the park for our first family picnic.

There wasn't much shade to be found so T got out his

baseball cap and shades.

And to end this perfect day we welcomed a new little cousin just before midnight.

Another little girl to love!  We are so excited!!

1/2 birthday!!

Happy half birthday to my sweet baby!!

6 months ago we had no idea we were going to be the parents

 to the coolest little baby we have ever met.

6 months ago we got the greatest phone call of our lives.

6 months ago we brought home this little miracle that 

has changed our world forever.

 

We celebrated by having my mom and dad over for a 

"baseball" party

with brats, chips and beans.

(The first time we used the grill this season- it's beautiful out!)
