My little boy is 15 months!

Another little milestone.  The 15 month mark.  The age
were he literally learns something new everyday.

He says about 15 words now and probably knows 100.
His favorite new words are...
more - "Mooore???" said with a long drawn out question behind it
and
this - "thiths" which he says with his little tongue sticking through his front teeth
which makes him sound like he has a little lisp.  Of course this word is
accompanied with him pointing to "this" pacifier
or "this" toy, etc.

Have you been admiring this little outfit?  It was a hand-me-down
from one of aunties friends.  I was gonna try to save it for Easter
but the way this little guy has been growing I'm afraid it won't fit by then
so I got it out now.  And no, this is not how I typically dress him for playing
around the house- just when I think it's time for a photo op.

Also, have you noticed the colorful bruise on his forehead?  He
tripped over a castle and fell onto a dragon at daycare.

It's a hard knock life for a 15 month old.

Stats:
Weight 21.44 lbs (27%)

Length 31.7 in (65%) he really shot up!

What's new?

We have had a quiet 2014 so far.
And that is perfectly okay with me.

But since I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks
I thought I would share what's new with us.

We rung in the New Year at home with this little man...

We went to our first Cardinals basketball game with Tristan...
(my friend made this cute onsie)

and played a little basketball at home too...

He's been standing up on his rocking moose and
doing all sorts of crazy boy shananigans.

Oh, and lets not forget about Mr. Independent that
wants to do everything himself now -
especially brushing his teeth.

It looks like it might blizzard again this weekend.
Our plans... Star Wars marathon.

On the Nice List

Tristan had a very merry Christmas!!
Santa must have thought he was a very good boy this year
because it took days to open presents.

peek a boo...i see you!

First we opened gifts with our favorite friends The Sieves.

Then our little family Christmas opening of which Santa brought
3 gifts... a kitchen, a recliner (just like daddy's),
and a big stuffed dragon along with a stocking.

Then we opened presents with Grandma + Grandpa S at Uncle Tanner and Courtney's place.

(Tristan playing with Uncle Nate)

Then we spent time at Grandpa and Grandma K's house.

It just wouldn't be Christmas without a little cinematics.
Luke had to test out "the force" of his new black leather gloves.

Christmas this year was sweet and snuggly.

Baby It's Cold Outside!

This year we have had fun putting little snow pants and boots on to
go outside.  We have had an unseasonably cold December having many -30 degree
temperatures but when it's nice ( we're talking at least 20 degrees ) we are having
fun in the snowy backyard.

Eating snow for the first time.

I found this classic coup car this summer at a garage sale for $3 and
I like it better than a new one.  Can you guess why?  Yes!  Because the
wood vinyl sides.  It just takes me back to the good old days.  Until he can get the use out of it next summer I thought it would be a fun photo prop to copy a pinterest pic I came across.

And of course we had tons of fun with this baby toboggan.

It can be so fun living in a winter wonderland.

Countdown to Christmas

Well, we are done celebrating Thanksgiving.
And I really dropped the ball on
taking pictures of that event this year.

None-the-less, I was thankful for...

a happy, healthy, and smart little boy

a handsome, supportive husband that is a better father than
I could have dreamed he would be.

a job (that I had to go to on the holiday) but still a job I love
with co-workers that make it feel less like work and more like
hanging out with an extended family.

And family that no matter how hard you try you just can't
seem to spend enough time with.  People that make your heart happy
the minute you are together again.

We did manage to take one big family pic this year...

So now we are ready for Christmas and all the joy and celebration that comes with it.

We got Tristan's picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus...

We decorated our tree and set up our new nativity scene.
Tristan got a new pair of Christmas pajamas and we got out all of
our favorite Christmas books to read.

These are the cutest dang pajamas I have ever seen!

And the cutest little boy!!

I love this time of year!!!
